A new storytelling series in Dallas, TX is casting six paid storytellers for a candlelit evening performance on Sunday 6 December 2026. This is a cast performance, not an open mic. Each storyteller delivers one seven-minute piece, read from the page or told from memory, that fits the night's theme.
Most storytellers perform their own writing; public domain work or any piece you hold written permission to perform is also accepted. Pay: $50 per performance, plus a recording of your own set and three complimentary tickets for guests. The strongest performer on the night receives an additional $150 and a place in the quarterly final.
To audition, submit one minute of video or audio of you reading anything from your existing body of work, via the form in the original listing (form submissions only, not by message). Auditions close 6 November 2026 and every submission receives an answer.
