Stage Play

A feel-good romantic comedy for the stage is casting now. At its heart is the unconditional love of family — especially a beloved grandmother whose expectations set the stage for a good deal of beautiful chaos. The production centres on an Indian-Australian family and themes of heritage and multicultural identity.

Auditions: submissions close 5pm Friday 4 September 2026
Auditions are held in 15-minute individual slots, with invitations issued as applications are received — early submission is encouraged. Callbacks, if required, follow in September.

Applicants are asked to submit a CV and headshot. Those invited to audition should prepare a contemporary monologue of one to two minutes. Script excerpts for a warm reading are emailed a week beforehand and do not need to be memorised.

All roles are paid. The production team is committed to inclusive casting and welcomes submissions from performers whose lived experience aligns with the character descriptions. If you are unsure whether a role is right for you, you are still encouraged to submit.
